Description
This project aims to evaluate whether the Stand Down app reduces hazardous drinking among Veteran primary care patients and whether Peer Support-Enhanced (PS)-Stand Down is more effective than the app alone. The study involves a randomized controlled trial with 274 Veteran patients across two VA sites, assessing drinking outcomes, satisfaction with care, and implementation barriers. The intervention includes brief counseling and four phone sessions with Peer Support over 8 weeks.
