Description
This project aims to investigate the regulation of RNA chain elongation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, focusing on the pel and psl operons, which are critical to its pathogenesis. The study will determine if Rho, NusG, and Mva proteins induce premature termination during transcription of these operons using in vivo RNA probing and in vitro assays. It will also identify accessory factors that enable the processive synthesis of long EPS RNAs, providing insights into the post-initiation control of transcription in P. aeruginosa.
