Description
This project studies plant-derived compounds (PDCs) such as gingerol, allicin, and carvacrol for their potential to improve bone healing by enhancing osteogenesis and angiogenesis in doped hydroxyapatite coatings. The goal is to improve bioactivity, osteoinductivity, and mechanical properties of implant coatings to increase their in vivo lifetime and improve long-term fixation of cementless joint replacements, reducing aseptic loosening.
