Research project investigating the role of iron addiction in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) to understand oncogenic pathways and develop iron-based therapies.
Description
This project aims to build on previous studies relating head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and its addiction to iron to define the oncogenic pathways responsible for iron dysbiosis and the potential role of iron in malignant transformation. The experiments will increase understanding of the drivers of HNSCC malignancy and explore new iron-based therapeutic strategies.
