Advance efforts for a nationally integrated food safety system by strategically enhancing the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture's feed safety program through the maintenance funding of the Animal Feed Regulatory Program Standards (AFRPS). The program aims to prevent animal feed safety hazards, respond to consumer complaints, recalls, investigations, and strategic risk planning surveillance. Maintaining AFRPS will position the program to lead or assist federal and state agencies with emerging or current food safety issues.
