Description

Phospholipids and inositol phosphates are two classes of small molecules with well-known functions in the cytoplasm, but poorly defined roles in the nucleus. The goal of the research is to understand the structural biology and functional genomics of these molecules and develop new small molecules to interrogate nuclear lipid functions. The study focuses on nuclear phospholipids and inositol phosphates, their metabolic enzymes, and their role in gene regulation, with potential impacts on cancer, diabetes, and metabolic side effects of antipsychotic drugs.
