Description
This project aims to improve measures of aging in longitudinal studies and support methodological advancements by integrating stress, biosocial, and epigenetic data. It compares stress, anthropometric, biological, and epigenetic age profiles of older adults across cohorts in the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and the Study of Longevity and Stress in African American Families (SOLSAA). The project will enhance understanding of biological aging, inform healthcare planning, and advance aging research methodologies. It also provides training in molecular biology, bioinformatics, epidemiology, epigenetic mechanisms, and professional development, aiming to produce scientific publications and preliminary data for future R01 funding.
