Description
This project will sequence and analyze the genomes of Histoplasma isolates to uncover genetic factors influencing pathogenic traits. It builds on previous genome assemblies and hypothesizes that gene order, repeat content, and SNVs drive phenotypic differences. The project aims to identify genes controlling thermoadaptation and intracellular growth, understand genomic organization differences, and develop better molecular diagnostic tools for Histoplasma.
