Description
This project aims to explain how cells trigger an innate immune response in the context of DNA damage-induced transcription blockage. The hypothesis is that DNA lesions blocking transcription trigger innate immune signaling by secreting specific factors to alert neighboring cells. The study will investigate mechanisms by which environmental agents suppressing transcription trigger immune responses without relying solely on gene expression, and determine the physiological impact of DNA damage-mediated transcription suppression. The research will link genetic diseases affecting DNA repair pathways with chronic inflammation caused by overactivated NF-κB.
