Description
This NIH grant supports research to define the mechanisms by which β-catenin and c-Myc regulate MPC1 and MPC2 expression, and the significance of this regulation in cell metabolism and cell behavior. The project aims to determine molecular mechanisms of Wnt/β-catenin repression of MPC genes, elucidate the role of Wnt/β-catenin in cell metabolism and fate, and unravel mitochondrial metabolism roles in stem and differentiated cells.
