Description
This project aims to explore the genetic requirements of ICP3 for circumventing phage defense systems of V. cholerae, including deleting accessory genes and identifying host defense genes. ICP3 is a virulent phage that preys on Vibrio cholerae within the human small intestine, and resistance to it is rarely observed. The project involves deleting accessory genes of ICP3 and testing their roles in phage defense, as well as identifying host defense genes in V. cholerae.
