Award for research focusing on radiotherapy combined with molecularly targeted agents, including studies on reRT for recurrent GBM and a trial with Selinexor for newly diagnosed GBM patients.

Description

This year we have focused on two projects. The first was the completion and publication of our reRT study. This has been significantly delayed due to the forced retirement of many of the clinical center collaborators. This has required training new people about the work and waiting for them to do the analysis. The manuscript should go out shortly. In follow-up to this, we have opened a second trial for reRT of patients with recurrent GBM but we have not accrued a single patient due to factors outside of our control. The second main project has been finishing our trial with Selinexor in patients with newly diagnosed GBM. We have completed accrual and are waiting for the outcomes analysis. Hopefully, this study will be published early next year.
