The study uses mouse models deficient in pIgR to understand COPD pathology and explores immune cell roles, including T lymphocytes and dendritic cells, in disease progression. The project aims to develop new strategies to limit tissue injury while maintaining host defense and involves extensive immunological and pathological analysis.
