This award supports research to understand and reduce thrombosis in patients with JAKV617F+ myeloproliferative neoplasms by targeting endothelial cell signaling pathways using engineered microsystems.

Description

The project aims to determine whether reducing JAKV617F+-mediated signaling using JAK-STAT and Gas6-Axl-MERTK inhibitors decreases thrombosis in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and establish a mechanistic rationale for novel antithrombotic therapies using endothelialized microfluidics models to assess endothelial function.
