Research project to study parental allelic expression dynamics and regulation at single-cell resolution using hybrid ascidians, employing innovative single-cell RNA sequencing, chromatin accessibility profiling, and spatial transcriptomics techniques.
Description
This project aims to decode the dynamics and regulation of parental allelic expression at single-cell resolution, focusing on how allelic imbalance contributes to normal and abnormal developmental processes. Using hybrid ascidians, the study will characterize allele-specific gene expression during development at single-cell resolution, develop approaches to profile gene expression and chromatin accessibility simultaneously, and develop spatial transcriptomics to understand regulation in the context of cell-cell contacts.
