Description

This project addresses the challenge of caring for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a lung disease with short survival and limited therapeutic options. The research involves developing a radiotracer for PET scans to image CCR2+ monocytes, which are pathogenic in pulmonary fibrosis. Studies will use mouse models to assess therapies targeting CCR2 cells and monitor responses via CCR2-PET imaging, with the goal of translating findings to human disease management.
