Research project funded by NICHD to assess the efficacy of the IPASS-R self-management rehabilitation program for sub-acute stroke patients, focusing on improving self-efficacy, activity performance, and quality of life through virtual interventions.
Description
This project evaluates if a stroke-rehabilitation self-management program targeting management of chronic stroke symptoms can improve self-efficacy, activity performance, and quality of life in individuals with sub-acute stroke. The study compares the IPASS-R program to the general health-focused CDSMP, with assessments at baseline, post-intervention, and six months post-intervention. The project emphasizes virtual assessment and intervention via videoconferencing and aims to develop a feasible intervention integrated into current care systems.
