Award to Sarya LLC for developing a novel PET imaging agent to improve diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma, addressing limitations of current imaging methods.

Description

Sarya LLC aims to develop and commercialize a new PET imaging agent, 64Cu-LLP2A, for diagnosing, staging, and treating multiple myeloma (MM). MM is a common blood cancer with significant mortality. Current imaging methods like FDG-PET have limitations due to low uptake in MM cells and inflammatory interference. The new agent seeks to provide a more sensitive and specific diagnostic tool. Research goals include dose escalation and toxicity testing in mice, submission of amended eIND to FDA, and a clinical trial to evaluate efficacy in humans.
