Description
This is a community-based randomized controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate the efficacy of a psychoeducational health coaching intervention (GRIT) aimed at preventing early initiation of alcohol and cannabis use among adolescents exposed to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). The study involves 210 adolescent-caregiver dyads, with a focus on self-regulation and healthy habit development. The project is funded by NIH/NIDA under grant number 5R01DA060784-03, with a project duration from July 1, 2024, to April 30, 2029.
