Description
This project investigates the effects of exercise on T cell aging in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It aims to understand how exercise training benefits immune health and reduces disease activity in RA by studying T cell function, metabolism, and aging. The study includes a randomized controlled trial and a pilot study to determine the best exercise doses and intensities for improving immune aging in RA. The project is led by Dr. Brian James Andonian at Duke University and funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA).
