Description
The project focuses on engineering a stable, high affinity human methylthioadenosine phosphorylase enzyme to substantially degrade both adenosine and 5'methylthioadenosine as a novel anti-cancer therapeutic. The project includes in vitro efficacy evaluation, in vivo therapeutic potential analysis, toxicology and pharmacologic studies, and aims to understand the immunomodulatory mechanisms involved in cancer therapy.
