Research grant awarded to University of Memphis to study and engineer fibrous templates to reduce NETosis and improve tissue regeneration.
Description
This study aims to understand the mechanisms of NETosis on fibrous templates and engineer fibrous templates to attenuate acute NETosis, thereby improving tissue integration and regeneration. The research involves fabricating precision square-grid templates via near-field electrospinning, elucidating NETosis mechanisms, developing fiber-based drug delivery vehicles, and testing in vivo in a rat subcutaneous model.
