Description

The CYP4F family of fatty acid ω-hydroxylases includes isoforms involved in vitamin K and drug metabolism, ceramide production, and generating the lipid mediator 20-HETE from arachidonic acid, which regulates blood pressure and is linked to diseases like hypertension, traumatic brain injury, and cancer. The project will explore the functions of CYP4F isoforms, their regulation by partner proteins, and their structural properties to develop targeted therapies.
