Description

The project aims to improve outpatient goals of care conversations among Veterans with serious illnesses using an innovative sequential multiple assignment randomized trial (SMART) design. Study sites include VA Eastern Colorado, Greater Los Angeles, and Palo Alto Health Care Systems. Data collection involves VA Corporate Data Warehouse, interviews, and surveys. Findings will be disseminated with VA partners to implement policies for early outpatient care conversations.
