Description

The study aims to establish human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) as models to investigate how the intrinsic cardiomyocyte circadian clock impacts cell size and function. It will explore whether inherited genetic mutations, such as those causing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, disrupt circadian rhythms. The research will develop in vitro models to study circadian regulation independently of the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), providing insights into cellular mechanisms governing cardiac health.
