LINDBERG AVENUE AT S. COL. ROWE BLVD. OFF-SITE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

The City of McAllen is soliciting sealed bids for the Lindberg Avenue off-site drainage improvements project involving excavation, grading, and drainage flume replacement. Bids are due by February 4, 2016, with a pre-bid conference on January 28, 2016. Bid bonds and performance bonds are required under specified conditions.

Description

This project involves excavation and grading (~6,000 CY) of a storm sewer outfall/stormwater detention area and removal/replacement of a reinforced concrete drainage flume. Sealed proposals addressed to Mr. Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E., City Manager, City of McAllen, will be received on February 4, 2016 until 2:00 p.m., at McAllen City Hall, Conference Room 2A, second floor. Bids must be filed by the deadline (no late bids accepted). Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A Bidder’s Bond from a licensed surety in Texas or a certified Cashier’s Check payable to the City of McAllen, for at least 5% of the bid, is required. Payment and Performance Bonds are required unless the bid is $50,000 or less (single payment contract option) or $25,000 or less (single payment contract option). Plans and specifications are available at www.ebidexchange.com/mcallen after vendor registration. Bids must be submitted electronically and in hard copy. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and hold bids for 60 days. Pre-Bid Conference is on January 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., Conference Room 2A, McAllen City Hall.
