The University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center's Center for Development and Disability, acting as the government buyer, awarded a contract to D's Educational Consulting Services, represented by Katherine A. Bishop and Nancy R Treat, to provide on-site consultation support to public school preschool classroom teachers and administrators. The services focus on implementing the PED FOCUS Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System (TQRIS) in accordance with the PED FOCUS Consultation Guide. The awarded services include coaching, mentoring, modeling, and consultation to support high quality inclusive practices as outlined in the PED FOCUS criteria. The contractor is expected to spend at least 20 hours per week on consultation activities, with the program caseload determined upon contract acceptance. The contract period is one year with options to renew for up to four years total. Unique contract requirements include acceptance of insurance requirements, signing a Conflict of Interest Form, and adherence to PED FOCUS Consultation Guide and Evaluation Criteria. The contractor must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, experience in New Mexico public schools, valid New Mexico driver's license, and ability to travel statewide. The contract includes service line items for hourly rates, flat fees, reimbursed expenses, and additional services with fee increase provisions. Description
In collaboration with the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center's Center for Development and Disability, Early Childhood Learning Network Division, the awarded supplier(s) will provide on-site consultation support to the public school preschool classroom teachers and administrators in implementing the PED FOCUS Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System (TQRIS). Consultation will be provided in accord with the policies and procedures outlined in the PED FOCUS Consultation Guide. Specific support will be provided on implementing high quality inclusive practices as outlined in the PED FOCUS criteria. Support and strategies to include coaching, mentoring, modeling, and consultation in accord with above policies and procedures. Program caseload will be determined upon acceptance of the contract. Based on caseload, contractor will need to spend at least 20 hours a week meeting the consultation scope of work activities. The resultant contract period will be for one year with options to renew up to a total of four years.
