Description
Medications for opioid use disorder (i.e., buprenorphine, methadone) are the most effective treatment interventions that can be provided to individuals with opioid use disorder during incarceration to reduce morbidity and mortality. The study aims to estimate the use of these medications among incarcerated populations before and after the onset of fentanyl-dominant drug supply, identify gaps in delivery at various levels, and disseminate findings to improve practices in carceral settings.
