Description
This project proposes a novel etiologic basis for uterine fibroid development through pathological reprogramming of the pseudouridine epitranscriptome and offers proof of concept for therapeutic intervention using novel inhibitors of pseudouridine writers. The studies aim to address the role of PUS7-dependent pseudouridylation in uterine fibroid cell growth and ECM production, evaluate PUS7 inhibitors in preclinical models, and profile the Y landscape of RNAs from patient tissues.
