The City of Greenville Purchasing Division is the government buyer for this award related to the Urban Forest Comprehensive Plan under RFP No. 26-3962. The awarded services include conducting a comprehensive tree inventory and urban tree canopy analysis covering streets, parks, and public facilities with trees 6 DBH and above. The inventory is approximately 40% complete, with an estimated 7,061 trees inventoried to date. The contractor will be provided access to TreePlotter licenses and data, including canopy data from 2019, 2021, and 2023, with 2025 data to be added when available. The scope requires in-person kick-off, stakeholder engagement, and City Council presentation meetings, while project update meetings may be virtual. The City will assist with venue logistics and promotion for community engagement events and provide translation services if needed. The project is expected to take around two years without a firm deadline. The awarded vendor will use existing GIS, ESRI products, and TreePlotter data for analysis and recommendations on tree canopy improvement. No specific OEMs or vendors are mentioned, and no products with part numbers or quantities are awarded, as this is a services contract. Unique contract requirements include mandatory in-person meetings for key events and the provision of TreePlotter access to the contractor.
