Description
Deaths from esophageal adenocarcinoma continue to rise, yet factors driving this trend remain poorly understood. The project aims to demonstrate that the inter-relationship between gastro-esophageal reflux bile acid composition, Notch signaling activity, and esophageal bacterial composition is key to driving esophageal neoplasia. This knowledge can be translated into future efforts to modify these factors to prevent esophageal cancer.
