The project aims to understand how mechanical stress regulates fetal ventricular growth and maturation to improve diagnosis and intervention of ventricular malformations using experimental and computational methods.
Description
This proposal will elucidate the mechanobiological mechanisms of fetal ventricular growth, maturation, and malformation. Innovative experimental, computational, and imaging technology will be developed and utilized to identify and study heterogeneous cellular interactions in vitro and in vivo. These findings will significantly inform intervention strategies to counteract malformation risk and engineer ventricular remodeling.
