Description
This project aims to understand the role of Treg-derived Mmp12 in lung injury resolution, which could lead to novel treatments for ARDS. The study hypothesizes that Treg-derived Mmp12 promotes resolution by cleaving proinflammatory mediators and reducing immune cell populations. The research will elucidate mechanisms of Treg-mediated lung repair and develop skills in laboratory techniques, scientific communication, and understanding of lung disease and research ethics.
