Description

The Research Experience and Training Coordination Core (RETCC) of the UNM METALS Center coordinates graduate and postdoctoral level cross-disciplinary research experiences and training in biomedical research and environmental science and engineering. It addresses gaps in interdisciplinary training at UNM, promotes cultural sensitivity workshops for research in Native American communities, provides practical research opportunities on tribal lands, and supports communication with regional communities. The program includes tailored curricula development, cross-disciplinary laboratory experiences, seminar series, professional development workshops, and travel to scientific meetings.
