NIH funding for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill to develop and evaluate a biomaterial scaffold designed to generate CAR T cells in patients for treatment of glioblastoma.

### Description

The project develops and tests a Multifunctional Alginate Scaffold for T cell Engineering and Release (MASTER) to generate and release CAR T cells in vivo for glioblastoma treatment. It will optimize scaffold properties and evaluate CAR T cell function, efficacy, persistence, biocompatibility, and immunogenicity in GBM models.
