Award for a study to improve treatment adherence and viral suppression in people with HIV by addressing unhealthy alcohol use, depression, and anxiety through evidence-based interventions.

Description

This project involves a hybrid effectiveness-implementation study to extend evidence-based interventions for people with HIV (PWH) to treat unhealthy alcohol use, depression, and anxiety. The study will leverage the CFAR Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) infrastructure and will include online interventions, pharmacotherapy, and a stepped care paradigm guided by CFIR and RE-AIM frameworks. The project aims to improve adherence to HIV treatment and viral suppression among PWH with psychosocial syndemic conditions.
