Description

The project aims to characterize how aging and regeneration in planarians alter cell types and their corresponding expression (mRNA) in microenvironmental niches using Ex-Scope, an ultra-high resolution spatial transcriptomics technology. The research could reveal molecular mechanisms by which regeneration rejuvenates tissue architecture, addressing organ frailty and disease progression linked to dysregulation of tissue homeostasis during aging.
