The award supports a project to develop and test a peer-led intervention to increase pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) uptake among men who have sex with men (MSM) following HIV self-testing, addressing gaps in the HIV prevention continuum.

Description

This project aims to develop and pilot a peer-led linkage to PrEP intervention after HIV self-testing, with the goal of increasing PrEP uptake among MSM at risk of HIV. The research will optimize the impact of HIV self-testing among MSM, an evidence-based tool to expand HIV testing, while expanding the prevention continuum through linkage to PrEP to reduce new HIV infections.
