Description
This project focuses on studying the microbiome in cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD), the influencers of glycemic changes, and how the microbiome changes with glycemic modification. The project aims to investigate the microbiome in CFRD, the influencers of glycemic changes, and the microbiome's response to glycemic control interventions, including the use of an artificial pancreas device (bionic pancreas). The study will compare microbiome diversity in CFRD patients participating in a clinical trial to non-CFRD samples, and analyze how microbiome composition correlates with glycemic control and lung function.
