Description
This project describes a COVID-19 mouse model that mirrors pathological alterations in coagulation, endothelial activation, and platelet function, enabling in vivo studies to explore molecular mechanisms behind sex-specific severity and coagulopathy, and to identify new therapeutic options. The project aims to understand the mechanisms of COVID-19-associated coagulopathy (CAC), especially sex differences, and to test pharmacological approaches to mitigate it, using a mouse model that recapitulates human pathology.
