Description

This project explores the critical role of myeloid cells and T helper 17 cells (Th17) in maintaining an inflammatory tumor microenvironment in the colon and addresses a novel role of neutrophil-derived Interleukin-39 in promoting Th17 development. Understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underpinning tumor-promoting inflammation will help design new therapeutic strategies for colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.
