Description
This project aims to investigate how cerebrovascular insufficiency interacts with and contributes to Alzheimer's Disease (AD), focusing on the brain vasculome, circadian rhythms, and angiogenesis. Objectives include demonstrating that AD brains have a lower capacity for compensatory angiogenesis in response to hypoperfusion, showing that circadian rhythms are disrupted in AD brains and suppress angiogenic responses, and assessing whether re-normalizing circadian rhythms can improve the brain vasculome and promote angiogenesis after hypoperfusion in AD mice.
