Description
The Johns Hopkins’ Economics of Alzheimer’s Disease & Services (HEADS) Center Program Development (Pilot) Core aims to nurture emerging scholars and investigators pursuing innovative pilot studies, cultivate high-impact research, and contribute to the HEADS Center community. The core will support new research lines through soliciting, reviewing, and funding pilot projects, launching a mentorship program for emerging scholars, and integrating pilot investigators within the broader center. The pilot studies will focus on theory-driven analyses to generate or test hypotheses and develop new methods. At least 12 pilots will be awarded to early-stage investigators addressing high-priority gaps related to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD), with a focus on populations experiencing higher disease burden.
