Description
This project aims to determine the molecular mechanisms of Argonaute protein small RNA-loading and nuclear import, focusing on the N-terminal intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) of Argonaute proteins and the role of post-translational modifications (PTMs). The research will elucidate how HRDE-1, a nuclear Argonaute, is imported into the nucleus and how PTMs regulate its function, using innovative techniques such as CRISPR editing, RNA-binding assays, and fluorescence imaging.
