Description

This project aims to test and refine a neurobiological systems model of speech-induced sensory modulation (SISM) using 7T fMRI to measure brainwide activity during auditory-motor tasks. It seeks to map sensory cortical areas modulated by self-generated speech, determine modulations during movement planning, investigate error monitoring during auditory feedback shifts, and assess the cerebellum's role in learned forward models for speech. The project is conducted at the University of Pittsburgh and funded by NIH.
