A study funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute to evaluate the impact of CF therapies on sinus and olfactory health in young children with cystic fibrosis, involving longitudinal follow-up over two years.

Description

This project aims to characterize chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and olfactory dysfunction in young children with cystic fibrosis (YCwCF) and test the hypothesis that highly effective CF transmembrane conductance regulator modulator therapy (HEMT) improves these conditions. It is a prospective, observational, multi-center study involving treatment and control groups followed for two years using validated, age-appropriate, objective and subjective, non-invasive outcome measures.
