Research project funded by NIDDK to study molecular pathways involving Klotho and FGF23 to control renal oxidative stress in CKD, aiming to find new therapeutic targets.

Description

This project aims to enhance computational skills to identify how interactions of Klotho and its ligand fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) protect against oxidative stress at the molecular level in chronic kidney disease (CKD). The studies will help identify new pathways regulated by Klotho and FGF23 that may slow CKD progression and uncover novel therapeutic targets.
