Award to University of Southern California for the Communication and Dissemination Core to enhance the impact and accessibility of biodemographic research on aging and population health.

Description

The Communication and Dissemination Core (CDC) advances the mission of the USC/UCLA Center on Biodemography and Population Health (CBPH) by enhancing the impact of the Center’s research, resources, and activities. The CDC will ensure that biodemographic research reaches a broad audience of early-career and more established researchers and the public. Leveraging the expertise of its leadership and the communications team of the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, the CDC’s activities facilitate knowledge exchange across disciplines, career stages, and institutions. By making research findings accessible to specialists and non-specialists alike, the CDC fosters collaboration and enhances public understanding of how the aging process is accelerated or slowed by social, behavioral, psychological, economic, environmental, and health care availability factors and how these factors interact with biology to contribute to population health and health differences.
