Description
The project aims to examine how patient cost burden (PCB), as measured in uninsured individuals and high deductible health plan (HDHP) enrollees, affects the management and progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and the long-term consequences for the incidence and burden of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). The research will utilize innovative simulation models connecting existing models of T2DM progression and aging to understand the interplay between health policies, healthy aging, and ADRD.
