Research grant to study mucosal resident memory CD8 T cells in the female reproductive tract using 3D organoid models to understand molecular mechanisms of T cell differentiation.

Description

This project aims to use a novel 3D vaginal epithelial organoid-CD8 T cell coculture system to investigate the molecular interactions necessary for TRM differentiation. The study will identify key transcription factors and signaling pathways, including the role of retinoic acid, in promoting TRM formation.
